2024: A year in review

123Insight: a year in review

As 2024 draws to a close, we look back at some of the highlights from the year and provide a sneak peek at what lies ahead for 123Insight in 2025.

From onboarding new customers to releasing new versions of the software, it’s been a busy and productive year for the team! Here’s a recap of what we’ve been up to and what you may have missed:

Supporting customer success

This year we welcomed new customers to the 123Insight family and continued to support our existing customer base – some of whom have been with us for over 20 years! This loyalty is a testament to the capabilities of the software and its transformational impact on your businesses, as well as the support and services we provide to help you make the most your application.

In June, Boyce Precision Engineering shared their experience of using 123Insight and the benefits they’ve gained in a feature article published in Intelligent SME Tech. If you missed it, here is the link to the online magazine

Boyce Precision Engineering had previously seen 123Insight in use at another company before they came onboard. In fact, many new customers come to us through customer recommendations and word of mouth. Don’t forget, our referral scheme rewards companies with up to £600 for introducing us to a prospective customer. Here’s a link to the scheme’s registration page

New product releases

In September we released 123Insight 2024.Q3, which included a new grid control with enhanced features. If you missed the release webinar, you watch the recording here. The development team is now busy working on the release for 2025, which includes, amongst other features, a redesign of Add/Edit Parts that will allow for more granular permissions and a new Stock Enquiry screen.

123Mobile had two new releases during the year, featuring a new Despatch module and the ability to raise Stores Requests and Returned Issues Components to Stores as key enhancements.

Exciting training developments

The training team has had a productive year, launching a new Report Designer Masterclass. This course enables attendees to learn how to customise documents in 123Insight using the new DevExpress tool. The latest release has expanded DevExpress with new documents.

Our Masterclasses provide follow-on training for more in-depth system expertise. Many of these courses are now available on demand, so talk to your Customer Success Representative to discuss your training needs, whether that’s to enhance skills in CRM, Projects or creating new Excel Exports. Training can be held online or at our office in Southampton on a date that suits you.

We are very excited to announce the launch of new customer portal in 2025 that will provide customers with access to self-help tutorials – look out for more details coming soon!

Additionally, our Finance and System Admin course will become a dedicated Finance course, providing a deep understanding of costs and financial reporting.

Finally, we are launching a new training course in 2025 – keep an eye out for the official announcement coming soon!

Recent and upcoming webinars

Recently we took an in-depth look at the essential features of Advanced Project Control in a free taster webinar. Find out how to set up projects, create project links with quotations and sales orders, manage stock and supply assignments, and more. If you missed the webinar, you can view it on demand here.

We look forward to seeing the customers who are booked on our Quality Management webinar taking place on 15 January, where we will explore the quality management options within 123Insight. Places are available to book and cost £295 per person.

Showcasing photography talent

Team members Jake Allen, Ian Taylor and Carrie Carpenter demonstrated their creative talents when they swept the board in the company-wide photography competition earlier this year. It was a close contest but Jake’s photo of a frog just pipped Ian’s photo of Porthleven to win first place, whilst Carrie secured third place with a photo of her travels in Amsterdam.

To all our customers, we greatly appreciate your continued support and loyalty and look forward to working with you in 2025. From everyone here at 123insight, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
