University of Sheffield and 123 Insight in MRP education partnership
Partnership aims to help Yorkshire SME manufacturing companies
123 Insight Limited, suppliers of the 123insight Production Management System, has entered into a partnership with University of Sheffield (UoS) whereby 123 Insight Ltd have supplied 200 licenses of 123insight for educational use, at no charge. The partnership with UoS allows 123 Insight Ltd to conduct free Evaluation Workshops thus making information about 123insight available for the University's local manufacturing community.
University of Sheffield Management School has a strong link with the local industry and this partnership is an ideal example of knowledge transfer activities between higher education and industry.
Said Dr. S.C. Lenny Koh, Director of Logistic and Supply Chain Management Research Group, "After attending an evaluation workshop organised by 123 Insight Ltd I found 123insight to be the most straightforward and user friendly system available; an ideal MRP system for SMEs. I will use 123insight for teaching and I believe this application will effectively demonstrate how MRP works."
123 Insight Ltd already runs several Evaluation Workshops every month around the country, where prospective customers can understand the capabilities of 123insight, view the software in action and see how 123insight's subscription model allows them to implement a high-end MRP system without the usually associated large financial outlay and training requirements.
