Rent IT Systems change company and product name to 123insight

New name reflects expansion of product functionality

123mrp.NET, the award-winning production management system is to be rebranded to 123insight, and Rent IT Systems UK Ltd will change to 123 Insight Ltd.

The move is as a result of the product's expansion and the development of its CRM module and tight integration into accounting software, providing capabilities that cross the boundaries of traditional MRP and ERP systems.

Guy Amoroso, Managing Director said; "Since the company's formation in 2000 we have continued to develop the product's functionality and breadth of suitability for our clients. We now find ourselves in a position whereby we've outgrown the name, as the system offers a wider ranging solution than the definition of MRP. We've kept the 123, but 'Insight' better describes what we provide - complete visibility and control of every aspect of manufacturing operations as well as the supplier and customer community that surround them. In fact we believe that 123insight defines a new genre of MEM - Manufacturing Enterprise Management. That is, scalable enterprise software geared specifically towards manufacturing companies."

123insight provides an end-to-end solution that is suitable for virtually any manufacturing environment, including aerospace, marine, automotive, medical, food, textiles, electronics and oil. It has options for CRM, e-commerce and integration/interfaces into all major accounting systems.

A short history of 123insight

The company was founded in 2000 as Rent IT Systems Limited, with a product name of Rent I.T., reflecting the subscription business model. The product was rebranded to 123mrp.NET around 2005 when the software was rewritten in the .NET platform. To move to 123insight reflects that the product now covers both MRP and ERP functionality.

123insight was one of the first products to be offered on a 'SaaS' monthly subscription model. Customers subscribe to the number of licences required each month, and can increase, decrease or stop at any time.
