Platinum Precision, based in County Down, Northern Ireland, started out with Excel spreadsheets and paper-based tracking systems. They initially looked at MRP software, but decided that their requirements were not that complex so decided to write their own system. A year later, MD Ross Fleming realised that it was far more complex than initially thought, selecting 123insight instead.
They were live in just one week, and have since doubled their turnover with the same administration resource, with jobs such as creating purchase orders dropping from two hours to just a couple of minutes. One of their largest customers also uses 123insight, so they take advantage of EDI to ensure that what the customer thinks they've ordered is what they have in their works order list.
